Legal Inquiries / Law Enforcement Requests
At Lodgiko, we take the privacy and security of our users seriously, but we also understand the importance of cooperating with legal and law enforcement authorities in appropriate circumstances. Below is our policy and process for handling legal inquiries and requests from law enforcement agencies.
1. When We Respond to Legal Requests
We may disclose user information or account data in response to:
- A valid subpoena, court order, or lawful process;
- A search or arrest warrant;
- A valid emergency request (for example, to prevent imminent harm);
- Other legal requirements under applicable law.
2. What Information We May Provide
Depending on the nature of the request and its legal basis, Lodgiko may provide:
- Subscriber / account information, such as name, email address, phone number;
- Log data, such as IP addresses, login/logout times, and usage metadata;
- Content, but only when required by valid legal process (for example, a warrant).
3. What We Require from Law Enforcement
To process a request, we ask that law enforcement provide:
- Official legal documentation (subpoena, court order, warrant, etc.);
- The requesting agency’s name, contact person, and badge or ID number;
- A clear and specific description of the data requested (who / what account, time range, type of data);
- A response date (please allow a reasonable time for Lodgiko to review and comply);
- Contact information for follow-up (phone, email, mailing address).
4. Emergency Requests
In urgent situations (e.g., risk of death or physical harm), we may accept an expedited request. Such requests must:
- Come from a recognized law enforcement agency;
- Clearly describe the emergency;
- Be followed up with formal legal process (subpoena, court order, etc.) as soon as possible.
5. Notification to Users
Whenever legally permitted, we will attempt to notify impacted users before disclosing their information. If the request includes a non-disclosure order (gag order), or if legally prohibited from notifying users, we may be unable to do so.
6. How to Submit a Request
Law enforcement officials may submit requests via:
Email: legal@lodgiko.com
Mail: Lodgiko, Attn: Legal Requests, [Your Mailing Address]
Please clearly mark the communication “Law Enforcement Request – Legal Inquiry.”
7. Review & Compliance
All legal requests are reviewed by our legal team. We verify the validity and scope of each request before disclosing any information. Lodgiko reserves the right to challenge overbroad, vague, or non-compliant requests in accordance with applicable law.
8. Retention of Data
We retain user data for a period consistent with our Privacy Policy, unless a legal request requires us to preserve data beyond that period.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page. If we make material changes, we will note the date the change was made.
